It's December! The year has truly flown by with the exception of August, which lasted 6 months. (Sally agrees). I have had 3 names this year. I will settle in with Karen Louque Miller. Eternal Miller time.
I am so amazed at the genuine well wishes of so many people. Thank you again for that. I am also amazed at the complete silence of others. It's my blog, and I can say that. I think...well I won't go there. I am happy. That is enough.
I am thinking already about the New Year. This is the tiime to write a book. If anybody has any suggestions, input, or advice, please give! I will try.
Going to work. It will be a long day culminating with a hug from my perfect husband. Have a nice day.
I think you should write a fictional story of a super hero girl who married young because she didn't want to be who she was destined to be so she tried to hide behind a man. She was afraid of herself and her strength so she surpressed it and became what everyone else wanted. Then her father died, he knew of her powers and when he died she felt her gifts would be lost forever, she was forgetting them even. Then one day a friend needed her to use her powers to save her life, problem was, she would have to use her power against her husband who hated her powers, but she did it, her friend was saved and her marriage was doomed. BUT the power was awoken, she started to fly secretly, ask questions, feel her cape calling her, she wanted to ride the clouds more each day. Ride where she was free and who she really was meant to be...
ReplyDeleteok, sorry, got carried away. You asked for an idea :-)
I am watching my two youngest sons, ages 14 and 11, writing in their books on twin computers as we sit by a cozy fire. I love how they are assured that they have a story and it should be written as well as read. Sometimes I don't even recognize my own character, much less my story, yet I keep breathing and moving through the chapters. I think some of us just need to write, to affirm our own hesitant belief that our story matters to the world- no matter how much the world seeks to deny that truth.
ReplyDeleteWow! Carole, very nice. I want to know this super girl. :) And thatnk you Wanderer for the encouraging words.
